To find out when the Web page you're visiting was last updated, in IE's Address field, type javascript:alert(document.lastModified) and press <Enter> You will see the updates's time and date in a pop-up window.
Use Run command /k ipconfig to get info about your network (and Internet) settings.
Use Run command /k ping ipaddress where 'ipaddress' is the IP address that you want to check.
